Thanks for this! Yes, i have heard about these. i assume they are the same as the powerline adapters? However I've read that they have to be on the same electric circuit to work.
I think the new garden room will be on the same electric circuit as the converted garage. Therefore can I use an ethernet cable coming out of the Access Point to plug into the powerpoint box. Then add the second powerpoint box in the new room which will then emit the wifi?

a point to point system isn't the same as a powerline system.
either might work for you.
I'd try the powerline first and if its to far of a run or to much interference, you could switch to the point to point system.
