While I can't see any show stoppers for extending your primary network.
What is not very logical on all newer Netgear Mesh extenders (starting from the EAX80) is the fact that the same Ethernet bridge does show up under different MAC adresses, specific to each radio involved, in the case if the dual WLAN system two addresses: Once for the 2.4GHz band, and once for the 5 GHz band - what can be extremely confusing nicely saying.
Don't have a conclusion yet, what does not work in your use case. Must have lost track in the discussion somehow here. Or are we facing some oddities on either the Nighthawk or the Orbi App - which are made for very direct usage each?
There is no word or indication your new EXS25 (or the in most aspects similar EXS18 or EXS27) should support Orbi and an additional guest network or a guest VLAN here ->

I probably should have put this under a new thread but I reconfigured the extender to extend my primary network instead of my guest network to see if this would be a viable solution to gain access to this device.

It also does not specifically state that it won’t and uses the general term of WIFI network in which I have a WiFi network.

From the manual:
“Universal Compatibility—Works with any router to expand WiFi coverage up to 1,500 sq. ft.”
