Range Extenders for Nighthawk X6 R7900 Tri-band Router
What would be the best range extenders to use with the R7900 router that would maximize it's capabilities? Can the extenders be operated in a mesh cofiguration?

I'd look at the tri-band line of extenders.
A standard extender looses 50% of its throughput because it has to receive and then retransmit. And it can't do both at once. So it automatically runs at 50% of the speed it receives.
The tri-bands mitigate that by reserving a 5ghz band just for router---extender communcation.

Hey all,
I'm researching as well to extend our WiFi in and out of the house. I was concerned about the 50% loss especially as our current speed is 15 mbps and with increased daily traffic in the home due to mandatory homeschooling, etc. It seems our entire family is online more, everyday. Will something like an EX7700 or EX8000 work with the Nighthawk router without both reducing the signal strength and requiring a separate SSID? And where is the best place to order one? We live in Hawaii (on the Big Island) so online options are usually the best. Thank you in advance!

the EX7500, EX7700, EX8000, and 2x orbis (rbs50y, RBS40v) are triband extenders. Both the orbis have orbi mode or extender mode.
They help reduce this signal/speed loss.
You're other option is a triband mesh system like orbi.
Not sure what ships for Hawaii that's reasonable
