AX1600 interferes with Wireless TV box?

I have moved the AX1600 and reconfigured it as a wireless extender. It is now further from the router and closer to the camera.
The move "seems" to have improved the situation and I have not had a failure of the wireless TV digital box since the move several hours ago!

How far away is the extender from the TV receiver?
TV is in the bedroom (above the router in the basement). The AX1600 is in the kitchen about 20 feet away.

I am wondering if the TV was connected to the extender (instead of the router) when the problem occurred.
Is the extender using the same network name as the router?
