Red light as opposed to a white light on Nighthawk Router

Hi I have plugged my TP Link Adaptor into my router and the light is red as opposed to white. Can anybody help me solve this please?   Thank you

what light is red? be specific

And what tp-link adapter is it? model numbers help

    Hi I believe I have solved the problem. I don't think my ethernet cables are supportive of the TP links. The Router model Number is AC1900 D7000. The TP lInks re TL-WPA4220 KIT

      the tp-link's are only 10/100 mbps connectors. If you're talking about the ethernet led, it'll light up to reflect this speed and not gigabit.
