Router Help

My computer savy is at a low so please remember that when you help me. 

My cable and internet are through AT&T.  I have a router and a smaller box plugged into the router for my wireless cable boxes.  Both the router and small cable box has the WPS buttons on them.  I've tried hitting both, one and not the other and my WiFi extender is still not conntecting.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    You have the EX3110?

    What att router are you attempting to connect it to? 

    Not all ATT routers play nice setting up using the WPS method of install. Try using the installation assistant. 

    You might need to factory reset the EX3110. Push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while its powered on. then try the assistant.
