    Size of the home will make a big difference. 

    Extenders by their very nature, decrease the speed of devices connected to them and increase latency. 

    So sometimes, its better to centrally locate a router before moving to adding an extender. 

    Plus what are you using it for? If its just to connect a few devices and not gaming/streaming, a different extender would work.

    But if you're gaming, streaming, or its a work critical device, we'd probably recommend a higher performing model than otherwise.
