Says the wifi mesh extender has not been set up.

Having the same issue. I'm on android and the app has the same loop where it says the wifi mesh extender has not been set up. It works okay but I notice my internet speed is much faster when connected to my router than when I connect to the range extender. I wish they would fix this issue seems to be happening to a lot of people. Tried all the suggested "fixes" but no luck power cycling or factory resetting.

    Not much info here. 

    1. what extender model do you have?
    2. firmware on it? 
    3. what router are you connecting it to? 
    4. is this in the app? What does it show when you log into the extenders IP address (found in your routers attached devices page)

    The other thing is your statement of internet speed being faster connected to the router. Thats a given. Reason why is standard single/dual band extenders drop throughput (speed) 50% of what they receive. This happens because they have to use the same wireless chip to go router----extender and then extender-----devices. And they can't do both at once. This is also is impacted by interference/obstructions/distance. So they might only receive 80% of what the router is putting out. cut that in half and their speed is only going to be 40% of the routers. Its why mesh systems with dedicated backhaul became so popular.
