Security issue: Cannot disable OPEN network NETGEAR_EXT on EX6120
Hi,
I've just bought and setup the EX6120 but there is a bit of a problem. The OPEN wifi (without encryption) called NETGEAR_EXT is all the time enabled and I cannot find a way to switch it off. Ev...

So my above post made me realise that the NETGEAR_EXT has a different mac address than the two other ones ... I think it's someone else's wlan network. I reset the factory settings and during the setup, I notice that there are indeed two wlans with the same ssid. Mine being the 2nd one
airport -s | grep EXT NETGEAR_EXT a0:40:a0:6b:62:6c -60 11 Y DE NONE NETGEAR_EXT 14:59:c0:ad:52:05 -46 11 Y FR NONE
After the setup completes, the 14:59:c0:ad:52:05 is no longer visible.
On other words, I was accessing some else's wlan thinking that it was mine. Sorry about the confustion

ok sorry, let me rephrase.
I'm not talking about the two extended wlans *_2GEXT and *_5GEXT. Those were correctly created and propected by a PSK. I'm talking about the NETGEAR_EXT that is created at the step "Connect With Web Browser Setup" of the manual you linked. This network seems to be still up and when I associate to it it give me internet access.
In the following you can see the two MyHome_2GEXT and MyHome_5GEXT wlans. Those work as expected. There is also the 3rd open NETGEAR_EXT
airport -s | grep EXT NETGEAR_EXT a0:40:a0:6b:62:6c -82 11 Y DE NONE MyHome_2GEXT 14:59:c0:ad:52:05 -40 9 Y FR WPA(PSK/TKIP,AES/TKIP) WPA2(PSK/TKIP,AES/TKIP) MyHome_5GEXT 14:59:c0:ad:52:04 -48 44 Y FR WPA(PSK/TKIP,AES/TKIP) WPA2(PSK/TKIP,AES/TKIP)

Glad to hear you got it figured out. Hopefully the other person knows enough to reset their device since their login was changed! :)
