Setting internet access per device using MAC
I just purchased a WNDR4000 750 router. My main motivation was to be able to control internet access per PC using it's MAC address. The default firmware only filters on IP addresses and uses one global schedule for all connected devices (PCs, XBox, iPods, etc). I want to control each individual device by it's own non changing MAC. For example, I want to set internet access for a device with a specific MAC for a specific time\date period, then a different device with a different time\date period and so on. If this is not possible on this router does anyone know how I can achieve this. I'm a programmer and would to be happy to program 'what-ever' to accomplish this. If this NetGear router can not be changed, then it's probably going to be returned. Thanks.

- ramaralAspirantThanks. I looked at the product, $200, although I think it would do what I want.
- jmizoguchiVirtuosoI own one and does great job with layer 3 switch built-in so you will 100% isolate your main network.
you would like it. :)
