Slow powerline adapter
I recently bought the PowerLINE WiFi 1000Mbps (PLW1000v2) but it's so slow...
My router sends 1 Gigabit speed.
My device, when conencted wireless to the router, gets about 400-500 Mbps.
When connected to the powerline via Ethernet cable, I only get about 50 Mbps.
I changed all my ethernet cables from Cat 5e to Cat8 but that doesn't seem to change anything.
Is it possible to get any faster speed? Should I replace or return the device?

Many things impact powerline performance.
At times, it even worse the wireless because random devices can inject interference into the powerline system .
But the benefit is its a set rate usually. Meaning you get a consistent 50mbps, and not a rate of 10-100mbps.
things that can impact powerline performance.
1. being on seperate circuits. impacts this huge as an outlet might be righ next to each other but because of disance actually be hundreds of feet seperate
2. arc fault breakers. surge suppressors, gfci outlets. All can filter the signal in a negative way and block signals.
3. high draw appliances can interupt the signal
4. poor/old/bad wiring can all cause issues
5. Poorly wired electronics or poorly made electronics can inject interference into the powerline system
6. apartment/condo living has a shared electonic bus that causes extra interference from other users
so there's lots of things that drop speeds. In my opinion, powerline is even more overrated that wireless speeds.
