Unplug router and modem power cables from the outlet and disconnect the ethernet cable from the modem to the router, wait 2 minutes. Plug the power back into the modem only and wait 5 minutes, your modem may show that the internet is back up but wait the full time anyway. After 5 minutes plug the ethernet cable back in and plug the router power cable back in. Sometimes the modems are touchy about assigning an IP to the router and just being patient and retrying works. I have a Spectrum Ubee modem that won't just reconnect if it loses power, waiting for the modem to be fully powered and connected to the internet for awhile then powering on the router seems to do the trick.
