Subtended WNR1000v3
I have a WNR1000v3 and it is setup as follows:
Internet <--> Router (LAN Port) <--> WNR1000v3 (LAN Port)
My LAN on my router is set for a subnet of 192.168.200.0/24 and the LAN IP of the WNR1000v3 has been set to 192.168.200.2 while the router has a LAN IP of 192.168.200.1. There are no connectivity problems whatsoever with Internet access, etc. However, I want to be able to remotely access my WNR1000v3. So, I built an application map in my router that does a NAT translation from port PublicIP:5000 to 192.168.200.2:80. When I try to pull up the web interface on the WNR1000v3 nothing happens. So, I did some investigation and I can see the TCP SYN frames exiting my home router towards the WNR1000v3, but there is not a single SYN-ACK from coming back from the WNR1000v3. This works fine on other gear that I have, but not the WNR1000v3. I tried turning every knob that I could on the WNR1000v3 and no luck. Does anyone know if the Netgear WNR1000v3 is not responding because the source IP is not part of the LAN subnet or some other reason?

- schumakuGuru - Experienced UserHave no WNR1000v3 - that's a router, not a WN1000RP wireless range extender.
As we're in the WirelessRange Extender sub-forum: In general, NAT/PAT access to the Web UI of the current Wireless Range Extenders does work for me as long as the default gateway and the subnet mask as set appropriate.
