traffic limit per ssid and wlan distance enlargement
Hello,
our family is now a happy owner of MBRN3000. however, there are additional things that i cannot fix with the router only:
i have created 2 networks (SSID) as follows:
home (WPA-PSL(TKIP)+WPA2-PSK(AES))
guest (WPA-PSL(TKIP)+WPA2-PSK(AES))
total traffic limit is 10Gb / month
I need to:
1. extend the distance for our guest wlan
2. set up traffic limitation for guest wlan and home wlan separately (e.g. 3GB/month for guest wlan, remaining 7GB/month for home SSID)
What is the best way how to achive these two effects?
Should I take Repeater (e.g. Netgear WN1000RP or Netgear WN3000RP or another model?) - but can i configure it for repeating only one ssid (guest) with respective traffic limit ?
Or better to take an additional router to be set up as repeater / bridge (disadvantages for me - takes more space, not so small as for example WN1000RP)?
any help/hint will be helpful!
thank you in advance and best regards.

- webloesungAspirantone more idea:
to take as a repeater:
Netgear RangeMax Wireless-N WNR3500L
and set up via DDWRT the repater for only gueat network with trafic limit for this ssid only
will this work? especially if the base router is MBRN3000? - jmizoguchiVirtuosoI would use unit like Guest Gate. Guestgate.com
You don't sacrifice the bandwidth by doing repeating and going through the setup
Box above will able to isloate the network and have more feature for guest. You can make fancy setup to basic to your preference.
look their site and read up - webloesungAspirantyes. guestgate looks good, but is too expensive for us (starting with 165EUR).
the budget is max 70 EUR.
i am still thinking to try with some of the Netgear routers (so far two of these are in the "selection" preferences:
RangeMax Wireless-N WNR3500L
WNDR3400 N600 WLAN
since we are planing also in the future to attache to wlan several wlan outdoor cams - to have router would be maybe benefitial?
Maybe someone has already experience, if the router (configured as repeater only for 1 particular ssid) is able to use an availible in firmware function for traffic monitoring/limit for this one repeated ssid?
