Trouble connecting AC1900 WiFi Mesh Extender Model EX6400v2 to new router
I bought a new Netgear Nighthawk router, model C7000v2, and am having difficulty connecting to my existing mesh extender, model EX6400v2. The extender was connected to my previous Netgear router. The issue is that the extender is not connecting with the networks on new router but still shows the names of my old wifi networks. I have not able to use the Nighthawk app to fix the issue. Since my work computer is in a different room the range extender is critical for a good connection.
If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. Thank you very much.

Start with factory resetting the extender. (always a good idea when switching routers)
Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on.
That should clear out the old settings.
Then I'd recommend following the installation assistant guide and not using wps.
Here's a video of using the installation assistant.
