Trying to add a second NETGEAR EX2700
I have twoEX2700 WiFi extenders - trying to use one downstairs and the other upstairs. I have a router that enables me to see both a 2.4GHz and 5GHz configuration.

Are you making sure your names are different for your extenders?
------Have changed the name for the second - but hasnt made a difference. When I set up the first it automatically added the _EXT to the WIFI network name?
Have you tried logging into the nonworking extender to try manually setting it up?
---when I login into http://www.mywifiext.net it gives me the details of the one that is visible. I've tried the "Smart Setup" facility - thi seems to show the wifi networks and nott he extender?
Sometimes the manual setup works when the wps doesn't.
here's the support page for your device. it has manuals, firmware, etc.
So take an ethernet cord and connect a computer and the extender together.
Shut off the wifi on the computer so you know you're connected to that specific extender.
Then try the mywifiext.net
You can setup a static ip address for each extender within your router that way you can use that ip address to access the extender. When you only have one extender the mywifiext.net works fine but when you add a second device, accessing them from a set IP address will be easier.
So connected the laptop directly to the extender that doesnt seem to work, knocking off the wifi on the laptop, and can get internet access on the laptop - which seems to indicate that the extender is picking up wifi signal?
Yet when I go into the router page - it still seems to think that its not connected?? See attached screenshot
What firmware are you on?

If you manually connect and its working, the router link led on the front of the device should be showing that. Is it connected? and is the device link for the extender working/lit?
Another option, manually upgrade the extender to the latest firmware and then factory reset the device. This makes sure its current and factory fresh. And then retry the install
