Turning on SmartConnect
i have a netgear night hawk cax30 with a EAX20 extender i just set it up reset my connection and i have a Ethernet cord running from my extender to my dell dock station which is plugged into my work ...
They should be able to work fine with smart connect and ethernet connected. I've used the CAX30 with an EAX17 and EAX80 so the EAX20 should be similar.
Are you using smart connect on the CAX30?
What I'd do, factory reset the extender. Turn on smart connect on the CAX30.
Give it a couple minutes to fully setup.
then reinstall the EAX extender. Use the installation assistant for setup and not WPS or the app. Tends to go smoother that router in my experience.
Hey plemans, thank you for the input I will try this when I get home from the office I recently just reset both units but I will try this sequence and see if it works!
