So I did what you recommended I turned on the CAX30 Smart Connect on and reset the extender and when I turned on the extender and set it up I choose to extend 2.5ghz instead of the 5G because I live on a 3 level and the CAX30 is on the middle floor and the extender is in the bottom floor figured that was the better connection to extender rather 5G of the distance, the app can crash sometime but I got it to work finally but it took a couple tries on my laptop to get it to finally connect, should have I used the 5G?

the problem with that option is 2.4ghz is a slow network. You've got a fast extender, a fast router, but its either going to be using the 2.4ghz as backhaul or fronthaul when you set it up in that manner and its going to be slow. I usually advise to setup standard and extender both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. That way devices can roam between them as needed based on distance or bandwidth needs and their own roaming protocol
