two AC1900 (model EX6400)
I have one AC1900 Netgear Mesh Extender, but may need to purchase another one to help reach into the garage.
My plan is to place the second AC1900 in the garage to hopefully pick up the wifi signal from the 1st Netgear mesh extender to boost the wifi signal outside over my garage doors where I have a wifi security camera placed.
Do I set the second mesh exender up using the exact same settings as the 1st extender or is there anything special I need to do so that both will communicate with each other and of course back to the wifi router?

Thanks, I saw that.
I have a different question now.
First my setup...
I have a router (with the WiFi turned off) connected by Cat5 cable to a Ubiquity Unifi WiFi end point. The Ubiquity is what broadcasts the Wifi signal in my home. Because the signal is not strong in the back of my home, I added the Mesh extender. It has helped in one part of the house but I still and not getting a strong signal to two of my outdoor security cameras. If I move the mesh extender closer to those two cameras, then it isn't always getting a good connection signal from the Ubiquity.
I'm now considering putting the mesh extender closer to the Ubuiquity end point so that it gets a good strong signal and can provide good coverage at one of the home and also add the Netgear Poweline 1000mbps Wifi gigabit essentials edition so that I can place it closer to the outside cameras at the other end of the home and hopefully get a better signal to them. (By the way, if you have a better Power Line product that I should consider, that would be helpful.)
My question is...Will adding the PowerLine adapter work better than trying to put two mesh extenders in my home?
Is it correct to state that the signal from the Ubiquity to the mesh extender, then on to the security camera will not be as strong or as reliable as getting the Wfi signal from the powerline adapter placed closer to the outside cameras?

SAG1,
Both options may work as it would depend on the electrical wiring of your home. I have heard positive feed back for both set ups. Curious to know which set up you ended up going with!
Best,
