Unable to connect
My Netgear extender says unable to connect when I start my computer. My router is downstairs with my main computer and I have an office computer upstairs. I have an extender to give a good signal upstairs and that connects easily to the router. However, the upstairs computer won't connect easily to the extender. It says 'unable to connect' after the upstairs computer has been asleep or shutdown. If I restart the extender it will connect then and generally stay connected while the computer is working, but that's a pain to do every time. I've tried a factory reset and I've set up a static IP address. Is there anything else I should try.

Details help.
- what extender do you have?
- what firmware is on it?
- what router is it connected to?
- What method of setup did you use? (the app, WPS, the installation assistant)
- Is t his a new setup or have you had it for a while?

Any progress on this?

Thanks for following up and apologies for the silence. No change, occasionally it will connect when I request, but never automatically, Mostly it will connect if I power off the extender & restart it, but thats a pain. So the solution has been to buy a TP Link extender which works well. Does anyone want a little used Netgear extender!?
