WAC104 cannot get WPS light on

I was not able to get anything from the first reply. I have the manual. Logging in with the help of the manual does not work. Go to my router, discover the IP address, different from the manual, then log in to the WAC that way.
Remove the ethernet cable between the desktop and the router and connect it to the WAC and there is internet connectivity. The switch part of the WAC is functional Disconnect the ethernet cable from the WAC to the router and it should work via wireless. It does not.
I think I need to get the WPS light on. The SSID is correct, the password has been set. What can I do?

No it shouldn't.
You'd need to go through the wireless repeater setup from page 80 in the manual to set it up as a repeater. Did you do this?
If you set it up in access point mode, it needs to be hardwired in.

Referencing page 80 of the manual, the WAC will not respond to the two addresses:

So go to the router, find the IP address to the WAC, and log on that way.
Step 4 of the manual notes that auto channel cannot be used. Check the configuration of the router and discover that 2.4 gig is using channel 7 while 5 gig is using channel 60. In setup of the WAC configure 2.4 and 5 GHz to channel 7 and channel 36 respectively. I want this WAC to join the existing network so set the network name to that of the existing wireless. Set the security phrase to the same for the router’s wireless network, same used by all the other devices.
Set the AP Name to other than the default WAC104.
The default security option for both frequencies is: WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK and is not changed.
Click Apply and wait for a bit.
After the Apply is complete, as I understand the manual, page 80, select Advanced Setup -> Wireless Repeating Function
There are two radio buttons, mutually exclusive, for the two frequencies 2.5 and 5 GHz. I have tried 2.5 several times so not select 5.
Wireless Repeater is default to selected while Woreless Base Station is default to not selected. The repeater IP address is has a default address of
192.168.0.[blank]
From the WAC responses I must have something here so it is set to:
192.168.0.134
In field Base Station MAC Address, enter the MAC address that is found for 5 GHz on the router. Nothing else is changed. Click Apply
The WAC makes me sign in again before applying the changes.
After the progress bar finished, the browser notes: can’t reach this page
It is still using the same address as before clicking apply.
Open a DOS command window and ping 192.168.1.133, no reply. Ping the new address 192.168.0.134, no reply. I cannot access the WAC until I again go a hard reset.
Go to the router: Network Center -> Local Network -> DHCP Clients. It shows the 192.168.1.133 which I presume is the ethernet cable address of the WAC. But it does not respond to a ping although the cable remains connected.
It does not show the new wireless address 192.168.0.134
I am unable to figure out what else to try.

I don't recognize the method to edit my last reply so post a new one.
After doing the apply (noted above) and losing all connection to the WAC, I took the further step of pressing the WPS buttons on both the router and the WAC. The WPS on the WAC turned on solid and stays that way. However, the WAC still does not respond to pings and loses the logon connection. Going to the router and the local connection table, it shows the first IP address of the WAC to be 192.168.1.133 with the same port MAC. The WAC will not respond to a ping there.
The router does not show a MAC for the WAC's 2.5 or 5 Gig wireless.

I just spent about an hour on hold and another 45 minutes talking to Netgear. The goal is to put a wireless box in the garage and connect the monitor for our solar panels to that wireless box. Previously, a DLink DAP 1665 was working, but evidently died.
Now the netgear representative tells me that this WAC 104 will not do the job. I could not understand the words he said as to why, so I presume I must accept that and try to return this device.
