WAG102 Cannot connect to Managment VLAN via Ethernet

I have been fighting with this for a few weeks.
Every time I open a new ticket with Netgear, they appear lost and confused and then the ticket gets closed.
Here's the scenario.
We purchased many of the Prosafe WAG102 Access points.
I began loading what I call out standard config on them.
Chacked the 802.1Q option as I need managed VLAN's
I defined several VLAN's assigned VLAN 1 as a management VLAN along with our IP address.
Created several SSID's and associated them to the appropriate VLAN's.

As soon as I apply, I can no longer manage the AP via the ethernet connection, however, I can access the management VLAN via Wireless.
This will not work as there are many times, we are not within Wi-Fi reach and need to get into the AP settings, as well plain management and monitoring

Thanks for looking, and helping

  • I have the same issue, did you ever manage to overcome this ?

I have Tagged the various VLANs on the switch port the WAP is connected to but you can't do this for VLAN 1 on the Netgear switch (FS728TS) which means it can't pick up the traffic on the management VLAN
  • Never resolved. Netgear kept closing tickets with no resolution.
We Shelved the product and moved on to another product.
