Want to replace my Nighthawk X10 router with a longer range wifi router
I have a 3 year old Nighthawk X10 router for my home, barn (300 feet away) and dock (150 feet away). I have two Netgear extenders in both the barn and dock. This has worked pretty well for 3 years ...

Power and throughput is limited by regulations, not by newer technologies and standards like AX. Time for the inconvenient ... a good Hilti cam help.
Thank you for your quick reply but as I posted I can't run ethernet easily (20' wide concrete driveway between house and barn) and I prefer not to install point to point (very inconvenient to run ethernet cord from router, through walls, up to attic and to outside wall as well as getting power to the unit). So, back to my question, it sounds like you are saying Netgear has not produced a router with a stronger signal in the past 3 years than my current Nighthawk X10?
Can try any router and see. Most home class routers wifi range won't cover that range. If they do, wouldn't be great signal.
