WG103 Initial Setup Question

I have nearly torn my hair out on this. I need to do an initial setup on the WG103. I have followed the directions very carefully. Set the computer to a static IP to 192.168.0.210. I attached the WG103 to the laptop (WinXP) with a CAT5 cable. I plugged in the WG 103. All green lights came on properly. I then entered 192.168.0.229 in internet explorer. All I get it "Cannot Display the Webpage" error.

I have reset the WG103. No difference.

I rebooted the computer. No difference.

I unplugged, replugged. No difference.

No matter what I do, I cannot get the setup page.

Can anyone suggest a solution?

  • Google angry ip scanner and scan it.

Make sure you are hitting correct IP. Some manual shows wrong IP of the AP device

192.168.0.x range subnet is at least right .
  • Thank you for responding.

I installed Angry IP scanner. Scanned fully from 192.168.0.1 to 192.169.0.0.

The only thing found was my static IP of 192.168.0.210.

My computer indicated that it was connected to the LAN, but no address found with Angry IP scanner.

    Any other suggestions?
  • No luck. I have reviewed other APs but nothing was helpful. I do not understand how my computer indicates it is connected, sends data but cannot get a response. Does Netgear have any suggestions? I need to reconfigure the AP which was previously operating as an unsecured wifi for a local gym. I have hooked the AP to two different computers so I need a magical solution if it exists.
