WGR614v9 Dell 986 AIO Printer

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect a Dell 986 printer directly to a WGR614v9? I would like to be able to use the hardware I have to print from my laptop without having to keep my desktop computer up and running.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    if ur dell has wireless card, just cnnect w.l, other wise ethernet

    If the Dell printer does not have an internal network adapter - either wired or wireless - it cannot be connected directly to the WGR614 router.

    You can try using a USB print server such as the Netgear PS121 v2 - which may or may not work - it actually depends on the design of the printer and it's drivers - or you can replace the Dell printer with a more modern one that has a network adapter.

    Thanks folks. I'm a little slow on this tech stuff. I didn't know ps was print server. I'm going to give it all a shot and see if I can make it work.
