not sure why say "old frontier ex6100"? maybe it was connected to your frontier setup?
If its a netgear EX6100, it should connect to the C7000v2 (if thats what you have?) fine.
If you're hardwiring it into the c7000, it'll run in access point mode.
I would recommend factory resetting the EX6100 before setting it up.

I didn't know frontier sold their branded extenders.
What firmware is on it? (firmware number)

They do not sell their own I just meant it came from frontier originally, I did the reset and it is working thank you for your assistance.
