Planning on getting an Ethernet over coax device (ASUS MA-25 as I can’t find the netgear version which I assume is discontinued).
The EAX80 manual states it can be connected to a wired back haul, but it would be the bottle neck in this scenario:
AXE11000 (2.5Gbe) > MA-25 (2.5Gbe) > EAX80 (1Gbe/wifi 6).
Seems like the nighthawk devices would make for a seamless solution by serving the same SSID for easy device hoping; but it’s unfortunate that it seems like the best way to extend an AXE11000 would be with a second AXE11000.
I don’t know why Netgear aren’t making range extenders with 2.5Gbe and wifi 6e?
Something like this would be perfect for connecting multiple PCs in a SHO on another room and extending 6e to the upper level:
