Wifi Extender 6120
Hi, I have just changed router and while I have successfully paired the Extender 6120 to the router my devices cannot access the Extender as the new router password is not recognized by the Extender. I have tried several factory resets but no difference. As I cannot access the extender I also cannot access any wifiext. sites for browser set up. Any help gratefully received

Same problem/problems! This is the worst range extender I've ever worked with and I've been in IT for 30+ years! I've run the setup several times using MacOS, and Windows but it will only provide internet access via 2.4gHZ. The 5gHZ will not work. Also, when trying to update the firmware it keeps telling me there's no internet. But it still has internet on the 2.4.

Is that the wifi password or the admin password?
If you need to access the controls of the EX6120 (I assume) is it in Access Point mode or extender mode? Did you use WPS to set it up?
Can you see the wifi from the Extender?
As I cannot access the extender I also cannot access any wifiext. sites for browser set up.www.mywifiext.net doesn't work?
How about the router? If you can access that, look at its list of attached devices for the EX6120. See if you can get into its controls using that IP address in a browser.
To save that hassle in future, check the bit ion the manual Set Up the Extender to Use a Static IP Address

- TonyGassonInitiateThank you Michael. I got into the extender with the IP address as you suggested and the 5ghz extension is now connecting to my devices with a new password but for some reason the 2 ghz appears switched off. Any further suggestions? Thank you again

Devices connect to the router.
They decide which channels to use. They'll go for 5 GHz to get the speed, falling back to 2.4 GHz if they are too far from the router.
