Make sure that IP address is on in the routers default IP address pool range. Any static IP addresses need to be out side of the routers DHCP IP address pool range.

Hello all - apologies for slow response due to illness. Ok - so I can confirm that the extender IP is in the routers default IP pool range (192.168.1.?) and that the static IP (192.168.1.241) is outside the DHCP range as I had set the DHCP range to end at .230. Having tested a few time I still have the issue.
The issue seems to occur when the link between the Extender and Router is temporarily interupted - like when a microwave is used.
