WiFi extender options.
Hi I have tp link WiFi extender to my hut in the back garden . There is no option for a cable due to where the box is positioned in the house . We have 1gb download on the house . The extender brin...
how far away is this "hut"?
Wired options are the best for gaming.
Does it have coax cable ran to it? If so, you could use a moca adapter (ethernet over coax)?
Or you could try powerline if its on the same power system and isn't to far away.
Another option would be a point to point system. Netgear had airbridge but its been out of stock for quite a while.
I'd check on amazon if you go that route and just type point to point. TP-link makes some pretty solid ones. I'd pickup a 5ghz based one.
final option would be to optimize placement of whatever you have in the home and whats in the hut. Exterior walls do a great job of blocking wifi so if you could have something in the window of each place with line of sight between them, that could help improve throughput.
