wifi extender will not recognize router network password

My wifi extender has been set up to my router. i can see the extension wifi in my drop down.When i click on it it asks for my router network password. when i enter this it says it is the wrong passwo...

Thanks ,I have tried so many ways Not sure I have the installation wizard. It says log in to Wi-Fi using the netgear_ex ? But I don't get that option in my Wi-Fi networks?

My extender was actually connected to my router I checked with my supplier but I it still asked for router password?

    Again, if they connected it via wps, its might not have setup properly. 

    Factory reset the extender and then follow the install guide for using the install wizard. Don't use wps.
