Wifi extender
I have has my wifi extender in my barn for about 5 years. For the first 4 years it worked fine. This past year it will randomly stop working -sometimes for a few minutes but otherwise times for a few ...
Some details would be appreciated to help you.
1. what extender do you have?
2. what router is it connected to?
3. what firmware is on both?
4. how far is this horse barn from the house?
5. what tested speed do you get off the extender when its working?
6. what is the exterior of the home and the barn made of (certain materials block wifi)
7. did something change a year ago? ISP? Router? Location of router/extender?
8. When its not working, what are the leds on it doing? each one. Blinking/solid/color
9. When its not working, can you connect to the extender and log into it? If so, get a screensnip of its status page. It'll show the backhaul status/connected devices, etc.
Its a challenge to diagnose/help over a forum. So the more you can tell us, the better we can help you. The less info we have to go off, the more we're just throwing out random guesses/troubleshooting .
