WiFi extenders, are they worth it?

Extenders can be worth it.
the biggest question is why the wifi is sketchy though.
Is it because the interior apartment walls are made from brick and its blocking signal?
Or is it because there's so many signals, its causing to much interference?
So what are the interior walls of the apartment made from?
How far from the router are you?
Are you connecting to the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz? In most apartments, 2.4ghz is pretty worthless as its sensitive to interference.
