Will AC750 extender work well with extending UVerse wifi?
I have AT&T Uverse. It's not bad, maybe not as fast as Spectrum here (also available) but from what I hear from others locally, Uverse is more reliable than Spectrum locally, and meets my current needs.
Question: the wifi in the house is from the AT&T-supplied cable box, model BGW210 if it matters. The problem is that where the cable enters the house, it's at one extreme end of the house, and in the center or other end of the house, maybe 1-2 bars and not reliable. So considering the AC750.
But the reviews are mixed -- some said that a new SSID is required for the AC750, others have said default settings are not good (must enable FastLane whatever that is), etc. Needs are simple - some streaming, occasional laptop use, mostly newer iPads use for streaming and browsing.
What are the chances that the AC750 will work with this setup, connecting correctly with the Uverse wifi and extending it to the wifi-less area of the house?
Thanks

Also, this is confusing -- it appears that the AC750 comes in multiple flavors like EX6100, EX6000, EX3700, etc, all at different price points. How do I know which one I need?

No responses here in almost 2 weeks so I guess I have to assume the AC750 doesn't work as advertised, will look elsewhere, thanks anyway.
