Now we have AHRwifi_ext_ext, and we cannot get rid of it, and the other WiFi's are no longer listed. We have tried removing and re-installing. None of it has worked. when you have a 2nd_ext, and "the other wifi's are no longer listed" it makes me suspicious of if something was corrupted in your setup.
I'd factory reset everything (router and extender) and start back as square 1.
What router do you have?
What modem/gateway is the router connected to?
What extender do you have?
What wireless card/usb device did you install in the computer?
There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc.
Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/
Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above.
Its a great resource to start with.
