Wireless Bridge Security WNR1000v3

I purchased two WNR1000v3 wireless routers. I want to use one as a base station, and the other as a repeater bridge attached to our printer (too difficult to run ethernet cabling to printer). The set up instructions say that the provided WPA security will not work in repeater mode, but I can't find any ability to utilize WEP security. I cannot run the main network without security, as we are in an office building, and everyone would jump the network, along with other obvious considerations. Is there some way to set this up as I have described using two WNR1000v3's ?
