Wireless Router With Telephone Connection

I need a wireless router that will also do an old fashioned dial up connection over a standard phone line? Does something like this exist?

DETAILS:
At a public swimming pool, during swim meets, I need to setup a temporary network between two laptops and the internet. Access to the internet will be minimal and will be used for some data transfer only. No web surfing. I do NOT have a broadband connection and we can't afford to pay for one. There is a standard phone line about one hundred feet away on the other side of the swimming pool.

I'd like to put a wireless router near the phone line. I'd like the router to do an old fashioned dial up connection to the internet. The laptops would then connect using wifi. Is there a modem for sale that does this?

Is there an alternative? Can I run the phone line to one of the laptops and make an internet connection using that laptop? Does that work? I would then network the two laptops together using a cheap small network switch. Would the second laptop be able to access the internet? it would have to go through the first laptop.
