WN2000RPT - Factory reset, now no SSID being transmitted
My buddy gave me his WN2000RPT that had passwords set on it. I connected to it with my PC but then couldn't log in to the web interface to set it up because of the password set, so I did a factory reset. Now, it is not transmitting an SSID. I reset it a few more times now, but still nothing. It just boots up to where the status LED turns green and there is no SSID. I waited half an hour then used inSSIDer to view all networks around me, but it still isn't showing up.
I'm guessing the unit is bad, though it was working prior to the factory reset. There appears to be no recourse at this time, meaning that if it's not transmitting an SSID, there is no way to connect to it to do a firmware update or roll-back. I tried connecting ethernet from my PC to it, but that doesn't do anything.
Ideas anyone? I'll probably just give it back to my friend and be like "wtf dude?".

- FairytailVirtuosoTry these steps :
1. Connect your computer to the extender using an ethernet cable
2. Access www.mywifiext.net
3. Typed in for username : admin and password : password
4. follow the setup wizard to configure the extender - jmizoguchiVirtuosohttp://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/WN2000RPT/WN2000RPT_UM_8Dec10.pdf
follow the setup in the manual with PC directly connected to the WN2000RP
