I was having the same issue. I was only able to hold one IP address, and all additional connections would either fail or not ever be issued. I was able to find the hidden DHCP settings on the NETGEAR EXTENDER that allowed me to set up the Range extender as a DHCP server.

Once I set up the Range Extender WN2000RPT using these settings it has been working great!
