WN2000RPT - Internet Access Keeps Dropping

I long ago gave up on my wndr2000rpt as anything but a wireless access point for the bedroom cable box.
In the process of setting up I did the following to provide me with a stable b/g network for most devices and I'm wondering what I can safely change:
Base wndr3700
2.4ghz ssid: mynetwork1
2.4ghz channel: 2
5Ghz ssid: mynetwork2
5Ghz channel: 44
Wndr2000rpt
2.4ghz ssid: mynetwork3
2.4ghz channel: 2
5Ghz ssid: disabled
Can I use the same ssid? In the past I've had all manner of issues if I tried to be too clever.
