WN2000RPT and DVD player

Hello guys,

I have this WN2000RPT extender and my primary goal is not the wireless extension but the possibility of connecting it to my laptop connected to the internet via a DGN2200 router: my basic idea is to connect the extender to the DVD player with an ethernet cable and the WN2000RPT to my laptop pc wirelessly so as to play videos, music etc directly from the laptop hard disk.

Are there any useful tricks to let the whole system works? Could there be any incompatibility issues with the samsung player?

Many thanks in advance

  • Ok, I did it myself; now everything work perfectly. The only advice i can give you is to use Samsung PC Share manager, obviously if you have a samsung product. The DLNA server is managed by this application though the system could detect the files on my pc but cannot play it stating "format not supported", but this is not true since the files are correctly played if located on an USB drive for instance
