WN2000RPTv2: Can I use the same SSID as my router?
I need to extend my wireless range for use with an iPad. I want to be able to use iTunes Home Sharing where my library is on a Windows 7 PC on the wireless network provisioned by a Westell 7500 modem...

Yes, you can use the same SSID and password as your router.
In the area where the signals overlap and are of similar strength, you may find your wireless device struggles to fix on just one wireless source.
I have my wireless router at the front of the house, where the telephone line socket is, and the WN2000RPT in the garage at the rear of the house, making wireless links in the garden very strong. With a mobile phone, when leaving the house and walking down to the bottom garden, there's no noticeable change except the received signal strength decreases and then becomes full strength.
