WN2000RPTv2 connection issues

I too have a WNDR3400 and one WN2000RPTv2--My problem is I am having to reset (unplug and plug) one of these two units at least once a day--sometimes 2 and 3 times a day. I start out resetting the RPT and sometimes just doing that works however if it does not..I have to reset the modem (Motorola SB6121) and the router which always makes everything work---I do have a couple of computers hardwired to the internet and they always work even when the wireless will not. I contacted Netgear about this and they told me they are having troubles with the repeater and I should take it back to (Best Buy in this case) and exchange it for another one. I did register my units so Netgear does have my serial numbers but my question becomes--if I do an exchange for the same model type--won't I just have the same problems and is there a recommended Netgear repeater that does not have all these known problems--please advise!!
