WN2000RPTv2 connection issues

Just one question, are you broadcasting or not. The reason I ask is I am trying to help a friend out and we can get on the internet okay when we broadcast but when I turn the broadcast off we can't make a connection to the internet. So I was reading all the threads on the above to see if anyone is having a similar issue. I intend to submit a netgear support question for him.:confused:
