SAME SSID = Roaming
DIFFERENT SSID = Hoping to SSID
you are planning to WALK AROUND=ROAMING within the multiple AP then use same.
What real makes the wifi adapter to change SSID regardless of same/different SSID is based on "roaming agrressiveness " on adapter and NOT AP.
google "roaming aggressiveness ", you may not able to tweak on smartphone but some of wifi pc can
