WN3000RP - can't access mywifiext.net
If I type http://www.mywifiext.net in to FireFox, I get automatically redirected to http://support.netgear.com/

- veronicahenAspirantI am having the same problem. additionally, Netgear_ext is not presenting itself, but "netgear" and "netgear36" are presenting themselves as networks, but I don't have any password. Any help would be greatly appreciated--
- NetGearUser1234AspirantThat's curious, the NetGear support documentation is incorrect. It isn't .net (as it says in their documentation), but .com. So, if I go to http://www.mywifi.com, I am not redirected to the NetGear support site, but instead I go correctly to the setup area.

I had the same problem until I realized that the extender setup can only be accessed from the extender's network (extender WiFi SSID or extender ethernet port). You cannot access the extender setup from upstream connections like connections to your main router. Must be a security feature.
Wind Rider - AdvertmanAspirantIf you can't access the extender try the power button for a few times! maybe in a row if access can't be given!
seems that when de signal is lost with the router the extender can't be accessed some times. - NetGearUser1234AspirantThanks a lot. I got it working by using an ethernet cable.
- ganbaatarAspirantwhat can i do if i forget my password for my net gear wifi extender?
- sentinoAspirantWOW. . . this should be a no-brainer. I just had the ATT U-verse package installed and wanted to reset my Netgear extender 3000RP. Totally unable to do it. I unplugged the extender, replugged, got the 3 lights green. I just need the internet light to go on. I see the netgear_EXT on my laptop's connections list, and when I click it, it asks for the security key which I enter (the new one for the new router) and a key mismatch error message comes up. When I try to enter the www.mywifext.net setup site, an error message comes up, as if it does not exist. I am about to toss this extender in the trash. . . Can anyone give any advice? Much appreciated!

Press and hold the resetbutton at the back of the device with a toothpick or small screwdriver untill a led on the front starts flashing. Let go of the resetbutton and the device will boot and you can connect to the repeater as it came from the factory. So connect to NETGEAR_EXT and type http://www.mywifiext.net in your browser and set the device up from scratch to your liking. - Wind_RiderAspirantAlso take a look at the following FAQ for these kinds of issues:
