This is something i did not even noticed before the closest error i got was one where some devices could not connect but after a reboot all devices could connect this was on a thomson 780wl router some times i even had te delete the dhcp ipadres of the device that could not connect.
I would like to know what is your % of reception you get try to get above 30%
from your story it looks like the wnr3000rp is used as 1 ipadress and does not put 2 dhcp ipadresses through at the same time!
Have you tryed a firmware upgrade of the D-link?
