No, this is intentionally. It's called: "getting to the 'hijack page' ".

Try it... If it resolves your problem, then you know what is causing it (maybe too short key life time??).

All depends what channels are in use by other networks in your area. The game is to use a channel that is as far as possible from other networks (both sides).

Cascading repeaters AND using DHCP is really pushing it.
Apart from very low throughput, you should really try to solve that problem otherwise (thought about Powerline adapters or plain old cabling?)
