WN3000RP -Netgear.ext remains open network
Hi all,
We have a WN3000RP installed perfectly. On opening mywifiext.net I saw my homenetwork and netgear_ext. We automatically copied our homenetwork to homenetwork_ext. Same password and it works correct.
Only now netgear_ext is an extra network from this extender and still visible. I do not know how to secure it. When I go to its IP/mywifiext.net, it goes into copy-network-and-extend-mode. Anyone else who has this problem or knows how to help me? Right now anyone in the neighborhood can piggyback on our network if we turn on the extender, it seems.

- How many extenders do you have? That NETGEAR_EXT SSID changes after you configure the WN3000RP.
- I just set up mine using Option 1, which is pushing the WPS buttons. NETGEAR_EXT is an open network.
I tried going to the setup page at www.mywifiext.net but Chrome couldn't find it.
I tried going to Support for live chat and Contact Us but those website pages are down. I can't even find a phone number for support.
I can't use this product as an open network and I need help.
