Open Dos Command Prompt window and type

ipconfig

You should get own and gateway IP info. If it is something like 192.168..... or 10......... then all is OK Then type

ping 4.2.2.2

You should get 4 replies. That means your wireless is OK and Internet access is OK. Try rebooting your PC/laptop.
